About the Photographer
Hi, and thanks for stumbling upon my little wedding photography site on the www. My name is Dianna Narotski, and I'm both a portrait and wedding photographer based out of Columbus, Ohio. I'm a 1999 grad of BGSU with a BSBA in Management Information Systems and a BA in art (computer art/ life drawing). Some people scratch their heads when I tell them that, but I think the combination of technical skills and an artistic eye both help make a good photographer. I did work doing computer work for 10 years before getting tired of it, and going back to my artistic roots.
I live with my husband (who I can't get to even use a camera phone), 3 children, dog, cat, and cockatiel. My daughter says I'm a "photo shooter" and I go "photo shooting." :-) I'm definitely not a writer, that is for sure! My wedding colors were purple and green and I still adore the color combination (too bad I don't fit into my wedding dress, I ebayed it for $100 a few years back. At least my husband still "fits" :-) And I do like those little goofy smilies. :-) :-) :-)
You'll find that my wedding photography style is a mix... I use my portrait background to work with the light and create some romantic, artistic portraits... and then the rest of the time catching the moments as they're happening. I photograph my clients' weddings how I would want my own wedding to be photographed, with some beautiful, timeless works of art to hang big on the wall, and those fun candids to tell the story of my day.

FAQ
What would happen if you couldn't make it to my wedding?
I have a list of photographers that I would be frantically on the phone with while laying in the ER bleeding out my ears. SOMEONE would be there! I don't get sick very often (knock on wood...) and haven't had to reschedule even a portrait session due to me being sick (more knocking on wood).
What would happen if your equipment would break during my wedding?
That's why all (reputable) wedding photographers have backup equipment. I carry 2 camera bodies at all times, multiple lenses and flashes. I might have to step outside and curse very loudly if one of my very expensive pieces of equipment would break, but the show would go on!
Can I see what your work looks like for a whole wedding (not just your favorites)?
Of course! This is a very important factor when choosing a wedding photographer. Anyone can get a lucky shot over the course of many weddings, but you want to make sure that all your wedding photos will be quality ones. I post weddings for 6 months in my Photocart software, you can view the ones posted by visiting http://www.dgnphoto.net/photocart . This should also answer your questions as far as how many pictures you end up with, and what the final product will look like. :-)
Do you work with a 2nd photographer?
I offer the option to get a 2nd photographer, rather than include it in all packages. If you'd like to have a 2nd photographer, it's a great option to purchase, because you'll get more pictures, more cool angles, more cool shots. I have a list of 2nd shooters, and I only hire good photographers who also do weddings.
Are you a Photogra-zilla? I've heard of those, and well, they're horror stories, what can I say.
I'm pretty laid back as far as the wedding day goes. I tell brides that the day is yours, and I'm there to take pictures when and how you'd like to have them. You can also say "Just do whatever you want... as long as the pictures are good." and I'll just do my thing. ;-) You've got enough stress on your wedding day, I definitely don't want to add to it!
Can you come photograph my Jamaican/Hawaiian/Parisian wedding?
(ok I wish this was a frequently asked question), feel free to ask me it though. I will answer Why YES, I would love to! (just pay my hotel, airfare, photography package, etc)
